Chad Mitchell, is a gifted communicator who passionately speakswith a conviction to help humanity. Chad currently serves as lead pastor ofMission Abilene, a church that focuses on loving the underdogs and outcasts ofsociety.  He passionately pursuesthose who are forgotten or deemed unreachable, showing them that the love ofGod reaches all.  He is unswervingin his devotion to stand against injustice and to empower the homeless, theaddicted, the battered and beaten, and the convicted to rise above theircircumstances through salvation and discipleship.

            Inthe spring of 1997, Chad surrendered his life to full time ministry, and sincethen his unique, straight forward speaking style has given him the privilege tospeak in hundreds of different settings all over Texas and much of theU.S.--youth camps and rallies, Disciple Now events, Christian concerts,crusades, citywide revivals, church services, and street outreaches.

            Heis passionate about spreading inspirational messages far and wide to all whoneed a message of hope and redemption, not just through the spoken word butalso the written word.  In 2009, hehas broadened the horizons through writing.  His first book, The Superman Syndrome, was in July 2009.  The book offers insight, hope, andencouragement to leaders in every avenue of ministry through his own personalreflections and experiences as well as biblical truth and wisdom.  His second book, The Plastic Man alongwith his third book Brother’s Keeper both will be published in the Summer of2010.

            Chadhas a Bachelor in Behavioral Science and a Masters of Education in Counselingand Human Development from Hardin Simmons University of Abilene, Texas.  He has served in ministry withfaith-based non-profit agencies since 1997 and as lead pastor at MissionAbilene for 6 years.  Chad is a licensedand ordained Minister of the Gospel, but above all, his greatest and mostnecessary qualification is that GOD CALLED HIM!

Chad Mitchell is husband to his wife, Ashley Mitchell and dad to his daughter,Alexis. His family lives and serves in ministry in Abilene, Texas.
